No — Valley Crane Inc. provides fully operated crane services only. Every lift includes an NCCCO certified operator, which keeps the job insured, code-compliant, and safe from start to finish. We don’t offer bare equipment rental.

Permit requirements vary by city and by the type of work being done. For most residential HVAC and landscaping lifts, no special permit is required beyond what your contractor already handles, but larger commercial or street-adjacent lifts may need a permit or a temporary encroachment approval from the local municipality. We’re happy to talk through what your specific project may require.

Crane lifts are weather-dependent. High winds, lightning, or heavy rain can make a lift unsafe regardless of load size, so we monitor conditions closely and will reschedule rather than risk a job. We’ll keep you informed as early as possible if weather affects your appointment.

It depends on the crane’s outrigger spread and how far the load needs to travel horizontally, but most residential driveways and street parking provide enough room. It’s helpful to have someone available to confirm final placement, but you don’t need to be present for the entire job. We’ll coordinate timing with whoever is managing the project, whether that’s you, your contractor, or your property manager.
