Crane Services &
HVAC Lifting
in Fresno, CA
Family-owned and NCCCO certified, Valley Crane Inc. is a mobile crane company providing residential and commercial crane services throughout Fresno, Clovis, Visalia, Hanford, and the Central Valley. From rooftop HVAC lifting to residential placements and commercial boom truck work, every job is planned and run safely, on schedule, by real crane operators.
A family-owned crane company built on trust and referrals
Valley Crane Inc. is a family-owned crane company and boom truck contractor based in the Central Valley of California, proudly providing mobile crane services throughout Fresno, Clovis, Sanger, Selma, Kerman, Visalia, Hanford, and the surrounding communities of Fresno, Madera, Tulare, and Kings counties. Our NCCCO certified operators help homeowners, contractors, and property managers move, place, and install everything from HVAC units and landscaping boulders to structural steel and commercial equipment.
The business started small, the way most honest crane companies do — one truck, one operator, and a commitment to showing up when we said we would and doing the job right the first time. Our reputation has been built one job and one referral at a time. Long before online reviews, Central Valley homeowners and contractors were already recommending Valley Crane Inc. to their neighbors and colleagues, and that word-of-mouth trust remains the foundation of our business today. A crane arriving at your property is a significant moment — heavy equipment, an experienced operator, and a load that has to land exactly right — and we treat every visit with the same planning, communication, and professionalism that earned our very first customers.
Safety isn’t a slogan for us; it’s a discipline built into every lift. Before any load leaves the ground, our NCCCO certified operator walks the site, calculates load weight and boom angle, checks ground conditions, and confirms clearance from structures, power lines, and bystanders. That planning process is the same whether we’re lifting a condenser onto a rooftop in Reedley or setting roof trusses on a commercial job in Visalia. That same discipline extends to our equipment: preventative maintenance and documented safety inspections happen on a regular schedule, so our fleet performs the way it’s supposed to on every job, not just most of them.
As a family-owned and operated crane contractor, Valley Crane Inc. is run by people who live and work in the same Central Valley communities we serve — not a regional franchise or an out-of-area crew passing through. That local ownership means direct communication with the people actually planning and running your lift, straightforward pricing, and a level of accountability that’s harder to find with larger crane operations. Every operator on our team is NCCCO certified, our equipment and crew are fully insured, and we stand behind the quality of every residential and commercial crane service we provide, from Fresno and Clovis to Kingsburg, Dinuba, and Tulare.
Why Central Valley customers choose Valley Crane
There’s no shortage of ways to get a heavy load off the ground, but not every option comes with a certified operator, real insurance, and a company that’s still going to answer the phone next year. Here’s what customers across the Central Valley tell us matters most when they choose Valley Crane Inc.
NCCCO Certified Operators
Every lift is run by an operator certified through the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators, the industry standard for crane operating safety and skill.
Fully Insured
Our equipment and crew are fully insured, and we’re glad to provide proof of insurance and certification for commercial, HOA, and municipal projects that require it.
Family-Owned & Operated
Every lift is run by the owners themselves — Dago and Shonna are on site, not managing from an office, which means direct communication and accountability on every residential and commercial job across the Central Valley.
Fast, Same-Week Scheduling
As a smaller, owner-operated company, we’re often able to schedule a lift within the same week — sometimes the same day — instead of a multi-week backlog.
Safety-First Culture
Every job starts with a load calculation, a site walk, and a clear plan, because the safest crane operation is the one where nothing is left to chance.
Family-Owned & Local
Valley Crane Inc. is owned and operated by people who live in the communities we serve, not a franchise or an out-of-area crew passing through for the day.
Modern, Well-Maintained Equipment
Our National Crane 900A boom truck runs on a documented maintenance and inspection schedule, so the equipment on your job site is reliable, not aging or overdue for service.
Serving California’s Central Valley
From Fresno and Clovis to Visalia, Hanford, and dozens of communities in between, we know the driveways, neighborhoods, and job sites of the region we serve.
Central Valley crane & HVAC lifting services
Valley Crane Inc. provides a full range of residential and commercial crane services throughout Fresno and the Central Valley, all backed by NCCCO certified operators and fully insured equipment. Below is an overview of the boom truck services we perform most often — if you don’t see your project listed, give us a call, since most crane work falls into one of these categories.
HVAC Crane Lifting Services
Rooftop and ground-level HVAC units are one of our most requested lifts. We handle rooftop HVAC lifting for both residential HVAC installation and commercial HVAC installation, including package units, condensers, and air handlers. We position new equipment or swap out failing HVAC replacements with precision, protecting your roofline, landscaping, and ductwork connections along the way — most residential lifts in Fresno and Clovis are completed in under two hours. Our commercial HVAC lifting services follow the same careful process at larger scale, and we regularly work alongside mechanical contractors on multi-unit rooftop installs.
Learn MoreResidential & Landscaping Lifts
Boulders, specimen trees, and fountains often weigh more than any crew can safely move by hand, and the same goes for many custom residential projects. We lift and place hot tubs, spas, sheds, pergolas, and outdoor kitchen components, along with tree relocation for mature trees that need to move without damaging the root system. We set everything exactly where your design calls for, without the ruts or torn sod that come with dragging heavy material across a yard in Selma, Kingsburg, or anywhere else in the Central Valley.
Learn MoreSign & Structure Installation Services
Monument signs and shade structures need to go up straight, level, and secure on the first try. We handle the lift and placement so your installer or contractor can focus on the finish work, whether it’s a single commercial sign for a Fresno business or a full shade structure package on a larger commercial construction site.
Learn MoreCommercial & Construction Crane Services
From steel beam installation and structural steel placement to setting roof trusses and framing components on a new build, we support general contractors, roofers, and project managers with dependable construction lifting. That includes equipment placement, machinery relocation, and industrial lifting for mechanical contractors, property management companies, and municipal projects throughout Visalia, Tulare, and the wider Central Valley — with flexible weekday, weekend, and early-morning availability for active job sites.
Learn MoreCertified Crane Operator Services
Every lift is run by an NCCCO certified operator who calculates load weight, boom angle, and ground conditions before anything leaves the ground — the planning that keeps neighborhoods, tight lots, and active job sites safe throughout the lift. As a mobile crane services provider and crane contractor, this is a fully operated service, not bare equipment rental, so certification and insurance travel with every job we run across Fresno, Madera, Tulare, and Kings counties.

National Crane 900A Boom Truck
Every truck in our fleet is inspected on a regular maintenance schedule, so when we show up to your job site, you’re getting equipment that’s ready to work, not equipment that slows your project down.
Before every job, our operator performs a pre-lift inspection — hydraulics, outriggers, rigging, and load charts — to confirm the truck is performing exactly as it should for that day’s lift. Between jobs, the National Crane 900A follows a manufacturer-recommended service schedule covering fluids, cables, and structural wear points, so mechanical issues get caught in the shop, not on your driveway.
With a 26-ton capacity and 75-foot reach, our mobile crane is sized for the lifts Central Valley homes and businesses need most — HVAC change-outs, residential placements, sign installs, and light-to-medium construction work — while staying nimble enough for tight residential driveways in Fowler, Woodlake, and gated communities larger cranes can’t reach. That combination of reach and maneuverability is a real competitive advantage: fewer jobs get turned away, and fewer customers get told to wait for a bigger, slower-scheduling crane company. As Valley Crane Inc. grows, we’re investing in additional trucks and specialty attachments, including high-access baskets, so we can take on a wider range of projects without losing the responsive, owner-operated service our customers expect.

The Valley Crane method
Consultation
We start with a phone call or site visit to directly understand your project’s goals, timeline, and any site access challenges — driveways, power lines, fences, or tight side yards — before we ever quote a price. This is also when we confirm whether the job is residential or commercial, so the right crew and equipment show up ready to work.
Planning
Our certified operator calculates load weight, boom angle, ground pressure, and reach requirements to build a lift plan that keeps your property, our crew, and any bystanders safe from start to finish.
Execution & Review
We execute the lift according to plan, communicating each step so you always know what’s happening, then walk the finished placement with you before we leave.

How much does a crane lift cost?
Most residential lifts — HVAC units, spas, landscaping boulders — run in the low hundreds of dollars depending on crane size, reach, and how long the job takes on site. We provide free phone quotes and can usually give you a solid estimate before we ever schedule a truck.
What size crane do I need?
It depends on the weight of what’s being lifted, how far it needs to travel horizontally, and how close we can safely position the truck. Our 26-ton, 75-foot-reach boom truck comfortably handles the vast majority of residential and light commercial jobs in the Central Valley.
How fast can you schedule a lift?
Many jobs can be scheduled the same week, and some the same day depending on our route that day. Because we’re a smaller, family-owned operation, we’re often able to move faster than larger regional crane companies.
Are your operators certified and insured?
Yes. Every lift is run by an NCCCO certified operator, and our equipment and crew are fully insured. We’ll gladly provide proof of insurance and certification for commercial and HOA properties.
How should I prepare for a lift?
Clear a path to the work area, move vehicles out of the driveway, and let us know about any overhead power lines or low-hanging trees ahead of time. We’ll walk the site with you before the lift begins.
Do you offer bare crane rental without an operator?
No — Valley Crane Inc. provides fully operated crane services only. Every lift includes an NCCCO certified operator, which keeps the job insured, code-compliant, and safe from start to finish. We don’t offer bare equipment rental.
Do I need a permit for a crane lift?
Permit requirements vary by city and by the type of work being done. For most residential HVAC and landscaping lifts, no special permit is required beyond what your contractor already handles, but larger commercial or street-adjacent lifts may need a permit or a temporary encroachment approval from the local municipality. We’re happy to talk through what your specific project may require.
Do you work in high wind or bad weather?
Crane lifts are weather-dependent. High winds, lightning, or heavy rain can make a lift unsafe regardless of load size, so we monitor conditions closely and will reschedule rather than risk a job. We’ll keep you informed as early as possible if weather affects your appointment.
How much space do you need to set up?
It depends on the crane’s outrigger spread and how far the load needs to travel horizontally, but most residential driveways and street parking provide enough room. When you call, we’ll ask about your driveway width, overhead clearance, and access path so we can confirm the truck will fit before the day of the lift.
Can you handle larger commercial loads?
Our National Crane 900A boom truck handles the vast majority of residential and light commercial lifts in the Central Valley. For larger commercial projects beyond our fleet’s capacity, we’ll tell you honestly and can help point you toward the right type of equipment for the job.
Do you provide crane services for municipalities and government projects?
Yes. We’ve worked with property managers, contractors, and municipal projects throughout the Central Valley, and we’re glad to provide insurance documentation, certifications, or additional paperwork commercial and government jobs often require.
Will the lift damage my landscaping or driveway?
Protecting your property is part of the job. We plan outrigger placement and boom paths to avoid landscaping, irrigation lines, and delicate hardscape wherever possible, and we’ll talk through any tight spots with you before the truck ever sets up.
Do I need to be home during the lift?
It’s helpful to have someone available to confirm final placement, but you don’t need to be present for the entire job. We’ll coordinate timing with whoever is managing the project, whether that’s you, your contractor, or your property manager.
What areas do you serve outside of Fresno?
In addition to Fresno, we regularly serve Clovis, Madera, Visalia, Hanford, and dozens of surrounding Central Valley communities across Fresno, Madera, Tulare, and Kings counties. If you’re unsure whether your location is in range, give us a call.
What’s the difference between a boom truck and a bare crane rental?
A boom truck like ours combines the crane and the transport vehicle in one unit, with a certified operator included as part of the service. Bare crane rental means renting the machine without an operator, which shifts liability, insurance, and skill requirements onto the renter — something Valley Crane Inc. does not offer, since we believe every lift should include a certified professional running it.
Can you lift HVAC units onto a two-story or multi-story building?
Yes, in most cases. Our boom truck’s lift capacity is highest close to the truck and decreases as the boom extends toward its full 75-foot reach, so for HVAC lifts onto two- and three-story homes and commercial buildings, we factor in the exact unit weight and distance before confirming the job. Let us know the unit weight and the building’s height and access when you call, and we’ll walk you through what’s possible.
Do you lift rooftop HVAC units?
Yes — rooftop HVAC lifting is one of the most common jobs we run, for both residential and commercial HVAC installation. We work directly with homeowners as well as mechanical contractors handling package units, condensers, and air handlers.
Can you lift over houses or other structures?
Often, yes. Our boom truck’s 75-foot reach lets it extend over a house or structure to place a load on the far side or on a rooftop — though how much weight we can carry at that distance depends on the load, since capacity decreases the farther the boom extends. We’ll review your property’s layout and the load weight before confirming the lift.
Can you perform residential crane lifts?
Yes. Residential lifts are a core part of our business — HVAC units, hot tubs and spas, sheds, pergolas, outdoor kitchen components, boulders, and tree relocation are all jobs we handle regularly for homeowners across the Central Valley.
Do you work weekends?
Yes, we offer flexible weekday, weekend, and early-morning scheduling for both residential and commercial jobs, since we know construction sites and homeowners don’t always work on a Monday-to-Friday timeline.
